Redeemed Academy  School Laboratory Tour in Voi (14 March 2024)

The students traveled by bus from Redeemed Academy Primary School to the Voi Boys High School today for a tour of the science laboratory. This is a great opportunity for the students to be able to “see” science and participate in “hands on learning” through experiments. While laboratory classrooms are common in schools in the United States, the availability of classroom laboratories is not as readily available in Kenya. While the students were touring the laboratory, they were able to learn the “Rules” of the laboratory, see and learn the functions of the laboratory apparatus and watch a few demonstrations of experiments. Gaining interest in science in primary school will be an encouragement for the students to study hard and graduate on to secondary school where they will have a greater opportunity to study science and use the laboratories for experiments. It is our hope that this is the first of several “field trips” to expand their educational experience. It is through the generous donations of our donors, that we are able to help financially facilitate field trips such as this one for our students enrolled in the c3compassion scholarship program in Kajire, Kenya. Through this type of field trip, the students can see that if they work hard on their studies, they can dream big dreams and have the opportunity to work in the science field someday.
