About Us

At c3compassion, we believe in the divine timing of God's plan, nurturing the potential of every child to bloom into their fullest selves. Established in 2021, our mission extends beyond mere tuition payments; we provide comprehensive support, covering transportation, essential supplies, and nourishment, ensuring each student's journey toward success is met with unwavering compassion and dedication.

How It All Started

Our story began several years ago in 2009 when by chance, in our small Western Pennsylvania Anglican Church we had the privilege of meeting a then seminary student, Rev. Ferdinand from Kenya. We developed a friendship with Ferdinand and shared many meals together during his time studying at the seminary. At the end of one of these meals, one of Geoff and Katie’s daughters was clearing the table and went to pour a pitcher of water down the drain. Rev. Ferdinand saw this and remarked on how water would never be wasted where he lives. This simple comment was another seed sown. Rev. Ferdinand went on to explain how in his village there is no water, and the women and young girls walk miles each day to gather water from the working well outside of the village to use for that day. Needless to say, the chatter at the table fell silent. No taps to turn on and water instantly appears?? It was the children at the table, the daughters of Geoff and Katie that began to water the seed that was sown- how could they/we help? They declared that WE had to do something to help and that began the Kajire Village Msanga Borehole Project. Together the Taylor’s, G.R. Orr and the parishioners of their local church embarked on a missionary project of bringing water to the village.

Their Story Continues

After the borehole project was completed, and Rev. Ferdinand had returned to Africa, the friendship continued and another seed was sown… There were orphaned children in the village that could not go to school because they did not have the money. Children need an education. In 2013, the founders of c3compassion began to sponsor 5 orphans from the Kajire village to attend private boarding school where they would be provided not only an education but meals and a safe place to live and learn. This continued until 2018 when the children graduated.

The First Initial Project

The first initial project for c3compassion was a scholarship program in the Kajire Village in Kenya to send orphaned children to boarding school. The founders of c3compassion believe that education provides hope and a future. The scholarship program provided education for 10 children to attend private boarding school and it was their goal and mission to increase the number of children that we can help!

God Had Planted Another Seed

In late summer of 2020 Geoff Taylor discovered during a routine eye exam that he had a massive brain tumor that required immediate emergency surgery. God was at work again, after an 8 hour surgery and many weeks of recovery Geoff was doing great and God had planted another seed – c3compassion.

c3compassion was established in 2021, focusing on helping children get an education.

We not only provide the monetary funds for tuition payments. We supply all the necessary items that the students will need to be successful at school. From transportation costs to food.
